Guitián Godello is a white wine from the D.O. Valdeorras produced by A Tapada. This wine is a single varietal Godello.

The Guitián Godello grapes are harvested by hand. Both in the vineyard and later in the winery, the grapes are selected.

After traditional vinification, Guitián Godello is fermented for about two months in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts.

After bottling, Guitián Godello rests for another two months before being marketed.

The first A Tapada wine was produced in 1992. The winery has 10 hectares of vineyards, mainly of the Godello variety, and produces about 100,000 bottles.

Seafood and fish in general, as well as rice dishes, pâté and white meats. Ideal as an appetizer. Serve between 10º and 11º C.

Elaboration:

-Harvest in boxes. Destemmed and crushed. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Pressed in a pneumatic press at low pressure.

-Static cold settling at 8ºC. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16º-18ºC.

-The wine is kept on its fine lees until clarification, stabilization, filtering and bottling. Clarification, cold stabilization, filtration and bottling.

-Aged in bottle for at least 2 months in the cellar.

Tasting:

Golden yellow color with greenish tones. Intense and complex aromas of stone fruits (peach) and citrus (grapefruit), with vegetal nuances (fennel) and a finish of white flowers.

-Powerful and fresh taste, of great length and aromatic persistence of great intensity and complexity.

Evolution:

Excellent evolution of the wine in bottle, towards tones of greater complexity, where aromas of kerosene, honey, bitter orange rind and dried fruits also emerge, with a fresh mouth full of aromatic sensations.
