The 2012 vintage was particularly noteworthy for the great health of the grapes despite the heterogeneity caused by the drought suffered during the year.

The Tempranillo (78%) comes from the 30-year-old La Cuesta and Montecillo estates in Fuenmayor and Cenicero. The Garnacha (22%) comes from La Pedriza in Tudelilla (Rioja Baja). This estate (70 ha) has unbeatable conditions for the cultivation of this variety with a very poor soil, covered with boulders, which offers a grape of great typicity, very rich in aromas and pleasant and fine structure.
