Sardines in Stew : Los Peperetes

Stewed sardines from Conservas Los Peperetes.

After the sardines have been meticulously cleaned and washed in brine, they are cooked in a steam bath so that they become hard. After being placed in the can, the covering liquid is added, based on olive oil, red pepper, onion, garlic and natural spices, before sealing. A different preparation to accompany rice, potatoes or pasta.
