Octavillo of Anchovies of Santoña in Ecological Butter | Conservas Revilla


Conservas Revilla has recovered the original production of anchovies, as they were consumed in Italy at the end of the 19th century.

With these tasty anchovies in organic butter, we want to pay homage to the first Italian salted fish salted in salt who, due to the lack of catches on the Italian coast, came looking for anchovies on our coast, turning Santoña into “The Cradle of Anchovies”.

TIP: Before serving, leave the tin open at room temperature for 30 minutes, this way the butter will temper and become a very pleasant cream.

Since anchovies are a semi-preserved product, they should be kept in a cool, dry place, preferably in the refrigerator,

It is advisable to take them out of the fridge half an hour before serving to ensure that the oil and the temperature of the anchovies are just right.

If you happen to have some anchovies left over, you should keep them in the fridge covered with oil and in a closed container. We also recommend consuming them within a maximum of 2 days. After this time, you can still eat them, but they will have lost many of their organoleptic properties.
