Peppers stuffed with cod of Conservas Rosara.

We select the best Piquillo peppers from Lodosa D.O. and we roast them with beech wood. We peel them without water so that they do not lose their flavour, we fill them with a delicate béchamel sauce of desalted cod, prawns and poached vegetables. It is a very laborious process with a delicious result. Although our production is supervised by the Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin: Piquillo peppers from Lodosa and the peppers used for this product are covered by the D.O., the Council only recognises with the numbered back label the peppers packed in their juice (whole, strips or pieces) and not those that are already cooked. Its low fat content (2.6%) and salt content (0.23g/100g) stand out.

Ingredients: Piquillo peppers (38%), fish stock, cod (9%), onion, tomato, vegetable oil (sunflower), prawn tails, flour, milk, vegetables, rice, garlic, salt and spices.

Our stuffed peppers are very delicate, it is recommended to open the can, take out the peppers one by one with a spoon and then pour the sauce on top. The best way to heat it is in a bain-marie (before opening the container), in the oven at a medium temperature or in a casserole over a low heat. It can be served with slices of cod or smoked salmon, baked potato slices, cod brandade, cooked prawn tails, white rice castle…etc.
