Pago de Carraovejas 2019, made with tinta del país, cabernet sauvignon and merlot follows the line of the previous ones, it is one of the greats.

Located on the slopes of Peñafiel, Pago de Carraovejas was the first in Ribera del Duero to use up to 25% Cabernet, to use French oak for its barrels and to use drip irrigation.

In 1991 he made his first harvest.

Pago de los Capellanes Joven Roble is one of the reference wines of the Pago de los Capellanes winery. A young and cheerful wine, easy to taste but of great quality that is also causing a sensation among lovers of the new Castilian reds because it combines power, structure and an acidity that gives it a pleasant freshness.

It is a wine with aromas of black fruits of great intensity and a tasty, lively and persistent mouth. Although it is a red wine, it is highly recommended for drinking in all seasons, adapting the pairing of dishes more typical of winter such as stewed meats to others that do not lose the harmony but are more appropriate to the moment.

Pago de los Capellanes Joven Roble 2018 is a recommendation with all the guarantee to enjoy a good mid-aged wine from Ribera del Duero.

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: clean and bright cherry color
  • Nose: intense floral aroma and red fruits of the forest, assembled with light spicy touches.
  • Palate: ample, fresh, persistent and velvety, with polished tannins, vibrant acidity and a long finish full of aromatic sensations.

DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN: Ribera del Duero

VINEYARDS: Selection of plots with clayey-calcareous soil, not very fertile and of low production.

GRAPES: 100% Tempranillo

WINE MAKING: brief cold pre-fermentation for 6 days below 10ºC. It is racked separating the lees without filtering or clarifying.

WINE PAIRING: fusion cuisine, starters, red meat and poultry
